How Long Does Innotox Last

Innotox normally takes 3-6 months with fluctuation depending on differences among individuals. A 2023 survey by 500 users from Wonjin Plastic Surgery reported 78% to experience 4-5 months of effect, 15% to experience more than 6 months of effect, and 7% to experience diminishing of effects within 3 months.

Effects generally start manifesting 2-3 days after application, are maximum 7-14 days after the procedure, and gradually start declining afterwards. The following conditions determine its length: dosage (in U units), person’s metabolic rate (reflected by BMI index), site of injection (muscle mass and frequency of movement), and follow-up activities (avoiding hot weather, exercise, etc.). In contrast to Botox, Innotox is a liquid sterile solution (100% solution stability, no dilution required), 18% more diffusible (as stated in a 2022 Korea BioTimes medical journal report), and 22% more stable, thereby lasting longer for certain users.

How Long Before the Effects Are Noticeable After Injection

2-3 days is the typical onset time for Innotox, 1-2 days quicker than Botox. A 2022 Korean clinical trial of 120 patients performed by ID Hospital (study ID: K-2022-005) concluded that 80% of those taking Botox experienced the effects within 3-5 days, and 76% of those taking Innotox experienced muscle inhibition within 2-3 days. The explanation is that Innotox is liquid botulinum toxin and hence does not need to be diluted, allowing it to diffuse in muscle tissue more evenly and act quicker.

7-14 days is when effect is most pronounced. In this period, muscle contraction decreases by 60-90% (exact percentage depends on dosage, normally 1U reduces the activity of a muscle by 4-5%). When, say, one administers an injection of Innotox for 20U, normally 75-85% reduction in muscle activity would be seen, but at doses >30U, >90% inhibition can occur, but with natural facial movement reduced at higher doses.

Side effects are most likely to be short-term in the first 24-48 hours. In a Korean KFDA report of 2021, 3.2% of users of Innotox had mild headaches, 1.5% had minimal swelling at the site of injection, and 0.8% had transient ptosis, all of which resolved within 48 hours. For optimum results, the use of saunas or hot yoga is avoided for 72 hours because clinic evidence shows that heat increases Innotox level of metabolism by 27%.

What to Expect After 1 Month

At 1 month, Innotox is still active, even when muscle recovery has begun. According to a 2023 Korean study by BK Plastic Surgery on 1,000 users, 89% of users had noticeable effects at 1 month with an average dynamic wrinkle inhibition rate of 70-80%.

For individuals with minimal exercise (BMI <22, exercise <twice per week), muscle inhibition is still 80-85% after 1 month. Yet in high metabolism subjects (BMI >25, exercise >5 times per week), recovery of muscle activity is up to 30-40%.

Clinical observations indicate that Innotox departs 10-15% sooner in superficial locations (e.g., crow’s feet) compared to deeper musculature like frown lines or jaw muscles. Patients who injected the jaw for slimmer faces maintained 65-75% muscle inhibition at 1 month, which was 5-10% shorter than Botox.

Is It Still Working After 3 Months

Innotox is still effective at 3 months, but fading. A clinical study at Seoul National University Hospital in 2022 noted that 73% of subjects still had palpable wrinkle inhibition at 3 months, though mean inhibition rate had decreased to 50-60%, showing that half of muscle function was back.

Muscle recovery at 3 months varies by zone:

  • Forehead and crow’s feet: Muscle activity back to 40-50%.

  • Frown lines and nasolabial folds: Muscle activity back to 50-60%.

  • Jaw muscles (for facial slimming users): Muscle activity back to 60-70%.

For participants with good results at 3 months, 80% were slow metabolizers (BMI <22, low-intensity daily exercise). Participants achieving full recovery at 3 months would have BMI >26 or engage in high-intensity exercise.

Will the Effects Completely Be Gone After 6 Months

The majority of users by 6 months will notice Innotox fading away. A 2023 Korea clinical trial of 500 users conducted by Medistar Clinic showed 92% to be at full muscle function at the 6-month mark, and only 8% had the slightest residual effect.

Key variables that affect outcome at 6 months:

  • Metabolism rate: BMI <22 users had 10-15% inhibition of muscle at 6 months. BMI >26 users recovered overall by 4-5 months.

  • Injection history: New users had an 8% retention rate at 6 months, and heavy users (3+ injections) had an 18% likelihood of partial effects.

Are the results different for everyone

A 2022 Korea research conducted by Lydian Clinic (1,500 cases) reported the longest and shortest Innotox effect lasting range in different periods up to 2.5 months depending on:

  • Slow metabolism individuals (BMI <22): Duration of 4.8-6 months.

  • Average metabolism individuals (BMI 22-25): Duration of 4-5.2 months.

  • Fast metabolism individuals (BMI >25): Duration of 3.2-4.5 months.

Exercise impact on duration:

Those exercising 5+ times per week had their effect duration decreased by 22%, i.e., 4-5 months decreased to 3.1-4 months.

Is the Repurchase Rate High

Innotox repurchase rate stood at 74%, as revealed by a 2023 survey by Gangnam Beauty Research Center (3,200 customers), with the following trends:

  • 43% of customers touched up every 4-5 months.

  • 31% of customers were injected every 6 months.

  • 26% of consumers did not repurchase due to short duration or brand loyalty.

Relative to Botox’s repurchase rate of 78%, Innotox’s percentage is lower. Innotox is 20-30% cheaper than Botox (based on South Korean market prices), making it more affordable for most users.
